WordPress version 3.3 was released today and named “Sonny” in honor of the great jazz saxophonist Sonny Stitt.
The new features for users include
- a single media upload button which detects file types on the fly
- a swanky new drag and drop media uploader (very sexy – we’re particularly fond of this)
- a new “admin” toolbar making admin navigation quicker and simpler
- new flyout admin menus for faster navigation
- responsive design for some admins screens making the WordPress admin dashboard tablet ready
We’re very excited about Sonny and have update our videos and written manual to reflect the changes so as soon as you update WP for your clients they’ll have access to the new features and our new resources training them how to make the most of it.
